Volunteer as an election observer in the U.S.
For a limited time, The Carter Center is actively recruiting nonpartisan election observers in Georgia, New Mexico, Nevada, Michigan, and Montana for the summer and fall of 2026. Participants must be U.S. citizens and legal residents of the state in which they want to volunteer. No prior experience is required, as training will be provided. You can apply here.
