The Democracy Program of The Carter Center held the final Human Rights and Election Standards conference at the Center on Dec. 4-5. During this conference session, roundtable participants discussed the role of civil society in promoting human rights and credible elections in a global climate of increased democratic disaffection and closing civic space.
